rebecca's conviction
Hey=)
What IS my conviction? Why am i working so hard to see RGS grow? Why am i serving God like now?
1. God loves me and forgave me.
This is like, the most basic and fundamental fact. It is 100% true, and confirmed by Jesus' death on the cross. Like what i said in my previous post, we're horribly sinful. What makes us think we're worthy of God's love and forgiveness? But God DOES love us. Woah. That's like, amazing. That's PRECISELY WHY we have to do His work. Well, it's true that we can NEVER repay Him. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't do our best for God, to glorify God.
2. I want to see people in Heaven with me.
Of course!!! Think: What are the most important and eternal-lasting things in the world? Money? Grades? Clothes? Branded bags? Physical Body? Not those, but GOD and SOULS! Not that these are not good, they are truly good if used for the right purpose. However, are they eternal? Can we bring these along when we die? Plus, i don't want to see my dearly loved family, relatives, teachers, and friends in Hell. Like, OBVIOUSLY! Who wants to? This life is all we have to save souls. We have to make the best use of it! It is not ours, but God gave this life to us. So, use it to the MAX!!!
3. I know that God is good.
Seriously, God IS good!!! Whatever He says, whatever He does, they are all good. His ways are higher than ours, and His thoughts are higher than us! And everything that he does is for the good of those who loves Him. What's more, He is our Father! If we, sinners, know how to give good gifts to our children and others, how much more will out Father give us?
4. With faith, prayer and deeds, CG08 is a confirm can complete thing.
This is ABSOLUTELY TRUE. Look at Vivien. (Joyce said) She is strong in her prayer life and see how her group experienced God's blessings and growth! She also advised me about having Faith and Praying when doing Ministry work. Like what many people said, we're not fighting FOR victory, but FROM victory. We already have the victory, why are we still not having faith? Why are we still afraid? Why aren't we doing our best then?
So, really want to encourage people and refresh myself once again with my conviction. =) Really be convicted to CHIONG hard for God. Simply: because it's worth it.
Oh yeah, jiayous people!!! For ESS, MCG and Service this week!!! Really pray and have faith before doing anything! God will bless. Let's wait ACTIVELY for God to pour down His blessings. (quoted from Joyce) Really SMS and call like MAD!!! Just do it! If not you, then who?
I'm really convicted about the constant need to have FAITH. What CAN we do without faith? Nothing!!! If people in the old testament didn't have faith, would they be healed of their various diseases? If the apostles didn't have faith, what would happen? If Peter didn't have faith at first, would he be able to walk on water? If David hadn't have faith, would he have beaten Goliath and received victory? NO!
Faith. What is faith? Believing even though we don't see it. THAT is faith. Are we so comfortable in our place now? Are we so contented with what we have and the growth of our group, both in terms of quality and quantity? Do we REALLY REALLY REALLY have faith that CG08 can be completed in each of our schools? Do we really pray because we believe that in Jesus' name, what we pray will come true or, it's just praying for the sake of praying, for men's eyes?
Really want to challenge EVERY SINGLE ONE of you to have faith. Because faith is essential. Faith is one of the basic things required. Faith is what saved us. Without faith, can we get people to believe that Jesus died on the cross for all of us?
