This is gonna be quite a long post. However, please take take a few minutes to read and I definitely do hope that it'd encourage you in one way or another.

Recently, I had been really stress about the upcoming O levels and as the majority of you should know, Math is my Achilles Heel. I have never really put in the time, effort and hard work in it ever since I started education and people around me knew Math was never my thing. Some claim that it is easy to study. You just gotta practice and yeah, work hard. But I never heeded their advice. Now, I am indeed, starting to regret.

I had a lot in my mind about excelling, or at least, scoring well in Math. Was really stress and tired both emotionally, mentally and physically.

However, God talked to me alot through the people around me.
Christians, non Christians, He'd used them all.

Weikeat and I was planning for Prayermeet for Yishun Sec just last night. Then by the end of our conversation, he asked if I needed anything to pray for. Yeah, I told him about my concerns and worries about my academics and he said he would pray for me.
Half an hour later, he got back to me. He said while he was praying, God reminded him of the story of David and Goliath.

#1- David was quite an insignificant character and he was the last one King saul would ever want and choose to use. Nobody would believe that he would actually defeat Goliath.
Same goes for me. As much as a handful of people are believing in me, there are just as many who says things which tears me down and are certain that I'd screw up my O's.

#2- A stone was used to defeat Goliath. Not swords/choppers/parangs or any kind of weapons one could ever think of. He too, defeated Goliath in the name of the Almighty.

1Sam39-40
"I cannot go in these," he said to Saul, "because I am not used to them." So he took them off. Then he took his staff in his hand, chose five smooth stones from the stream, put them in the pouch of his shepherd's bag and, with his sling in his hand, approached the Philistine.''
1Sam45
''David said to the Philistine, "You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied''
1Sam:48-49
''As the Philistine moved closer to attack him, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet him. Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell facedown on the ground.''

Same goes for me. I've got no much resources.

#3-How will God use me greatly and make me shine when I am already good at Math?
Duh right? But it had never crossed my mind. The reason why people get awed by miracles, signs and wonders are because they never expected it coming. If I am already good at Math, excelling it or getting an A for my result would not be as impactful as a testimony as compared to failing badly and getting an A yea?

The above was what God had spoken to me through Weikeat.

Then i received an Email from Daddy.
(He rarely sends me mails. We live under a roof what =.= )
So I really have no idea why he'd send me that.
Oh, by the way, he's not a believer of Christ.
I too, had never told him anything about my worries and concerns.
It was about Will Power and belief in Self.
I guess the photos just sums up everything:

''The doors are open for only those who believes in themselves.''

True, the moment I've decided that I want to grow, satan had already started scheming and planning. The moment my teachers know that Im a Christian, they naturally have higher expectations for me both in my behaviour and academics. However, it is also true that it's moments like this that God's might and power will shine through my willingness to be used by Him. I liked what Sharlene said. Perhaps what David saw in Goliath or through Goliath wasnt much of his build but God standing behind. I know, for sure, that behind each obstacle, God is there and He too, will turn every situation into a triumphant and victorious one!

I can do nothing except to trust, obey, shutup, and wait for the results.
I have nothing.
I only have my Faith.
